Kinoko Gohan

英語で: As mentioned before, rice is the staple of the Japanese diet. Once one knows the basics of cooking it, one can add some extras.

The day before, add konbu (kelp) and dried mushrooms to water and leave in the refrigerator to create a dashi.

honmirin, soy-sauce, dashi.

Chop, chop.

For two portions, add the honmirin and soy-sauce to taste to one cup of (cleaned) rice, about one table spoon each. Fill with dashi up to the amount indicated by the rice cooker or recipe.

Add mushrooms, both the chopped ones and some fresh ones.

Press the red button or follow the plain rice recipe as usual.

Mix before serving.

Serve and eat.
